Justin has unique litigation and trial experience having started his legal career at Boies Schiller, Flexner LLP in High School, first as an intern, then as a paralegal, and while working as a paralegal full time, attending law school in the evening.  Upon graduating law school, Justin was promoted to law clerk, then associate.  Justin then moved with Boies Schiller’s then-managing partner to Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP, New York’s oldest law firm where he was an associate for four years.  Justin has been working in law firms for more than 22 years and learned very early on what trying a case involves.

That experience has served clients well.  Justin has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of complex litigation, including breach of contract, antitrust, civil RICO, false claims act, and other commercial disputes. He has tried cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts including before the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York and the Southern District of Florida. His recent work includes representing a major medical device manufacturer in a month-long antitrust trial involving tying allegations against a competitor.  Justin was a senior attorney on the case responsible for preparing witnesses for direct and cross examination, conducting depositions, managing exhibit lists and related filings, and attending to all other pre-trial, trial, and post-trial issues.

Justin also played an integral role in the defense of a client granted immunity to testify at a criminal trial involving government corruption. After completing the criminal trial the same client was sued civilly and after several years of litigation, Justin was able to successfully negotiate a favorable settlement on behalf of the client.

Justin also played an integral role defending a large physical therapy organization and successfully negotiating a favorable settlement for the client who was facing nearly $100 million in damages related to false claims act claims.

While at Cadwalader, Justin also represented numerous opt-out plaintiffs with billions in purchases in antitrust price-fixing litigation related to the purchases of beef and pork.

Most recently, Justin had a lead role defending one of the world’s largest lithium producers from breach of contract claims in an international arbitration with more than $100 million in damages claimed.
