Jake is an associate at Heise Suarez Melville with a strategic and analytical approach to litigation. He is committed to helping clients navigate complex legal disputes with thoughtful advocacy.

Jake began his journey with HSM as a Clerk while in law school, working on a broad range of litigation matters. Through this hands-on experience alongside the firm’s attorneys, he discovered his passion for the strategic nature of litigation and the opportunity it provides to learn and problem-solve every day.

Jake earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and a member of the Trial Team. While at UM, he also spent a year working with the school’s Environmental Justice Clinic, where he worked on regulatory advocacy efforts aimed at protecting outdoor workers in Miami-Dade County. Prior to HSM, Jake interned at a boutique real estate firm in Miami, as well as a criminal defense firm in Lexington, Kentucky during his undergraduate years.

Originally from New Hampshire, Jake has a passion for the outdoors. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing tennis, camping, hiking in the White Mountains, and watching the New England Patriots and Kentucky Wildcats.
