Ben draws on more than a decade of experience at Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal, where he served as a judicial law clerk for former Chief Judges Frank A. Shepherd and Richard J. Suarez before joining the chambers of Judge Norma S. Lindsey. During his time at the Court, Ben worked on hundreds of appeals and original proceedings with myriad complex issues. He also contributed to various special projects for the court system, including developing and teaching a Continuing Legal Education accredited writing seminar for judicial law clerks.

Ben, a Utah native, attended the University of Michigan Law School with a Dean’s merit scholarship. During law school, he interned at the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office and the Institute for Justice. He was also a student attorney in Michigan Law’s Juvenile Justice Clinic, where he had first-chair responsibility for clients and their cases and co-authored an appellate brief on a complex constitutional issue.

Outside of the office, Ben is an avid traveler and lover of good food. He enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in the majestic national parks of Utah.
