Javier, an associate at Heise Suarez Melville, brings a wealth of legal and business experience to the firm and how business relationships can result in litigation.

Javier began his legal career at a boutique Miami law firm where he handled a variety of matters. During his time there, Javier focused on commercial transactions for high-net-worth families. He discovered a love for litigation and began positioning himself to best serve clients in the courtroom. As a result, Javier became very involved in hotel-condominium administration and homeowner association disputes, as well as commercial real estate disputes. He has successfully drafted and argued substantive motions that have resulted in significant victories for his clients. Javier has also represented clients in company administration and shareholder disputes.

Prior to joining Heise Suarez Melville, Javier completed a clerkship with the Honorable James Lawrence King of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

During law school, he interned for the Honorable Jorge Luis Alonso of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Javier also excelled in his law school coursework, receiving top marks in his constitutional history and constitutional history classes. Most of all, Javier is proud to have received the award for best-brief in the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court competition. In his final year of law school, Javier was also a research assistant for two of his tenured professors.

A Miami native, Javier is fluent in Spanish. Outside of the office, Javier enjoys golfing, boating, deep sea fishing, reading about history and the law, and world travel.
