Sydney Cahn Boies is a driven litigator with a strong passion for trial work and an unwavering commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for her clients. Recognized for her strategic insight and persuasive advocacy, Sydney thrives in complex and high-stakes litigation, always focused on delivering effective and tailored legal solutions.
Sydney was born and raised in Naples, Florida, where she attended the Community School of Naples from Pre-K through High School. Her strong writing skills were recognized at a young age, winning several writing competitions and even having a piece published while at Community School. At graduation, Sydney received the Headmaster’s Award and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Award, which provided her with a Full-Tuition scholarship to the University of Florida.
Sydney earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida, where she was selected as one of forty-nine students to serve on the prestigious Freshman Leadership Council, an organization dedicated to identifying and nurturing young leaders. Additionally, Sydney was the Chief Marketing Officer of the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, and she gained valuable international experience while interning in Jerusalem, Israel, where she performed marketing services for a cryptocurrency exchange. This background in marketing has equipped Sydney with the skills to enhance the visual and strategic elements of trial preparation, ensuring her clients’ cases are presented in the most compelling manner.
As soon as Sydney turned 21, she underwent the intensive training process to become a certified Guardian Ad Litem. Since then, she has volunteered her time on child dependency cases, advocating for the best interests of children in the legal system. Sydney has worked closely with children in foster care, providing them with a voice in the courtroom and ensuring they receive the support and care they need during challenging times. Her dedication to this cause reflects her strong commitment to public service and her belief in the importance of protecting vulnerable individuals in society. Through her work as a Guardian Ad Litem, Sydney has gained invaluable experience in family law and continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those she serves.
Sydney then pursued her legal education at the University of Miami School of Law, where she was awarded the Dean’s Merit Full-Tuition Scholarship. Graduating Cum Laude in 2024, Sydney was recognized for her academic and professional achievements, earning multiple honors, including the Director’s Book Award in Litigation Skills and the CALI Award for Excellence in Judicial Writing. Throughout law school, Sydney demonstrated leadership and a commitment to the ethical practice of law, serving as President of the Honor Council. Additionally, Sydney served as a Dean’s Fellow for Family Law, expanding her knowledge and expertise as well as mentoring students on the area of law.
Before passing the Florida Bar, Sydney honed her trial skills as a Law Clerk at Heise Suarez Melville, where she played an integral role in several significant cases, further sharpening her litigation expertise. Notably, Sydney was part of the trial team for a three-week malicious prosecution trial, which resulted in a favorable outcome for a Fortune 100 company. She also contributed to a full defense verdict in a wrongful death trial involving asbestos and mesothelioma, a week-long defamation lawsuit that resulted in no liability for the client, and a $3 million verdict for the family of an individual tragically killed in a bicycle accident in Miami. Additionally, Sydney was instrumental in securing a favorable verdict in a complex business case involving claims of slander, libel, fraud, tortious interference with business relationships, and violations of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUPTA).
With a deep interest in litigation and trial work, Sydney combines her strong academic foundation with hands-on experience to deliver exceptional results for her clients across various legal matters. Outside of the office, Sydney enjoys golfing, riding her bike, and anything involving artistic expression, constantly seeking new challenges to enhance her skills both personally and professionally.
